Summer is a great time to try something new and why not learn a life skill. Sewing is a great creative outlet, and no matter which camp you choose all participants will learn how to sew by machine and by hand , hem and sew on a button.

DESIGN DIVA FASHION CAMP
The Design Diva Camp has been developed with the young fashion designer in mind. Fashion Design is a career that requires an understanding of color, fabric, themes, pattern-making and of course sewing! This camp touches on all important aspects of fashion design specifically developed for the young person. Participants in this camp will learn foundational principals of design, color theory, begin their fabric library, create mood boards,and learn illustration techniques. And that is just in the first two days of camp! on day three participants will begin to draft their pattern for their unique garment. They will then sew their designs and model them in a show on Friday afternoon. This is an intense week, but one which is great fun! and most of all, these young designers will have a realistic idea of what it takes to become a fashion designer. This camp is guaranteed to be a camp that is never forgotten! The Design Diva Fashion Camp is suitable for those with no sewing experience. Due to the popularity of the Design Diva Camp and it’s need for limited enrollments, we have chosen to offer this camp exclusively at academic facilities throughout NY and NJ.

FASHION SEWING CAMP (machine sewing )
The Fashion Sewing Camp is a fun filled camp filled with never ending sewing projects! We start with learning how to work with commercial sewing patterns and make a pair of pull on pants. Our second project will be a skirt and the third project is a tote bag. All fabrics are supplied for this camp. Please note we cannot guarantee specific fabrics for individual students.

BACKYARD SEWING CAMP
So You.. offers a camp package for those that want to keep kids close and want to have great backyard fun! The Backyard Sewing Camp package includes 5 pieces each of out most popular sewing kits, the bean bags, the cube, the small shoulder bags and the 18″doll clothes. Each kit includes hand and machine sewing instructions, sewing needle, pins and thread. The So You… sewing kits are unique as all the pieces are precut to the exact sizes and shapes needs to begin sewing so no prep time required! just get ready to start sewing and have fun! The cost is just $100.00 for the entire 20 piece kit.
