So You… supports GSUSA programs! We offer one hour project classes for Daisy, Brownie and Junior levels. We come to your regular meeting location. All materials are included in the cost.
Service opportunity just for Girl Scouts
So You.. will help troops in their community service needs. So You… helps make PET BEDS for animals in local shelters. So You… will supply all the outer materials needed for the beds themselves. The troops have to supply all the pillows towels or bedding for the insides. This event is suitable for troops of all levels. Sewing machines will be used and no experience is necessary. This is also a great way to learn to sew on a sewing machine!
This is a two hour event. the cost is $15.00 per attending girl. This project is suitable at your regular meeting place

Don’t worry if you do not know of a local shelter. If there is no shelter your beds can go to, they will be donated to Barks in Byram Township, NJ.

Our daisy project is a Petal Pillow. The girls sew on a button and around the pillow. the petals are precut with button holes and each girl received a set to button on to her pillow. This is a great intrduction to sewing! The cost is just $10.00 per attending girl. contact us to schedule a date and time.

If your troop has already completed the first recommended Daisy Pillow project, and want to continue with a second fun sewing project , you can do this Daisy vest suitable for 18″ dolls or build a bear animals. Our Brownie level project is a journal…. what could be better! make your own special journal, for autographs, story writing, gift giving or fashion sketching.. The cost is just $10.00 per attending girl. Contact us to schedule your date and time.
New Project for Brownies
If your troop has already completed the Brownie journal and the three hour project is a bit too involved. We are now offering a string back pack – perfect for summer camping season! In this project the girls will learn how to use a real sewing machine and create a simple back pack by sewing simple straight lines! The cost is just $15.00 per attending girl. The Junior level project is sewing by hand a machine a heart pillow. Girls will learn two hand stitching techniques and be introduced to how to use a sewing machine. contact us for information, or to schedule a date and time.
SPECIAL SEWING PROJECT FOR GIRL SCOUTS ONLY!
Learn to sew and make a pair of pull on shorts! this is a three hour event (great for your year end meeting) and all girls will learn to work with a commercial pattern and will learn to sew on a sewing machine.
